Ethnic instrument is a pervasive group of musical instruments from across cultures, history and time.  The ethnic instruments present today are relics of the old past that sadly many people are gradually forgetting.  In a way, the appreciation of ethnic instruments is a way of looking back with embracing heart. The more popular ethnic instruments in the market come from Africa, Celtic people and China.  The price of the ethnic instruments depend entirely if they are genuine or not.  The original versions are understandably more expensive.  Most replications of ethnic instruments though are faithful reproduction.
