There are two ways to become an owner of a McDonalds Franchise. Most franchisees will purchase an existing restaurant. This has several benefits including knowing the business and trading history of the store and an established and pre-trained staff.  Others may elect to open a brand new restaurant. This is a more difficult road which requires the planning and construction of the restaurant and of course the training of all new staff to ‘make it go’. Regardless of which option you want to follow the first step is to fill in a franchisee application. These can either be posted to you from McDonalds head office on request, or downloaded from the McDonalds Website.
