Bringing Grandma Joy

November 10th, 2009 by admin

Recently my Grandpa passed away and I wanted my Grandmother to know how much I loved her and appreciated all that she had done for me in my life.  I got her some flowers but I wanted some kind of sympathy thank you card to go with it, but I could not find anything like that.  So I turned to the Internet, I had found a website called My Thank You Site.  Through them I was able to say exactly what I wanted.  My Grandma was so grateful, and it felt great to cheer her up in her time of trial and heartache.

One is a mind reading trick which can act as a good starter and then the simplest way to multiply any number with 5 has been illustrated as a teaching concept trick.

Battle of the Bands

October 24th, 2009 by admin

My friends and I wanted to start a band. Everyone that we knew that was in a band was either in a rock or punk band. We had different taste and decided to do the blues. There was a battle of the bands coming up and wanted to make sure we won. I went and got an acoustic blues guitar to match the situation. We practiced nonstop for two months. We sounded great. When it came time for the battle, we were more than ready. We were the last band to go up but we had everyone on their feet. It was an incredible experience and we finished in second.

A sense of humor is a good thing

October 8th, 2009 by admin

Having a sense of humor in this industry is one of the strongest survival tools an actor can possess. This will be one of the first things taught to the aspiring actors at the San Diego Acting Schools. Without a well developed sense of humor the chances are that the barbed comments made by fellow actors and or would be directors will destroy your self-confidence. A sense of humor can act as a shield and protect a tired and stressed actor from imploding. A sense of humor can also prevent one from taking oneself too seriously. You must be able to laugh at yourself.

Hindu wedding

August 9th, 2009 by admin

The worlds third largest religion is Hinduism according to Carolyn Mordecai, author of “Weddings Dating and Love Customs of Cultures World Wide Including Royalty”. The Hindu ceremony consists of the priest or brahmin officiating. The bride and groom stand on a decorated wood plank and the priests holds a curtain between them. The bridal party stands behind the bride. The priest chants songs and guest shower rice and other grains over the couple. The wedding begins when the curtain is removed and garllands of sandlewood chips are placed around the neck of the bride and groom. The brides father gives her to the groom and then they perform an upliftment of Dharma… there are three Purusharthas: Dharma meaning right conduct, Artha for prosperity and Karma for the enjoyment of legitiment gratification.

I Love to Play Worship Guitar

August 2nd, 2009 by admin

I love watching the worship team perform at church.  They are so skilled and amazing to watch.  I have always wanted to join them up on stage, but I have felt that my talent was sub-par.  The guitar is my favorite instrument of praise and regular lessons have never really gotten my very far.  Then I found www.playworshipguitar.com.  It taught me to play guitar as well as anyone on the worship team.  I now get my big chance to perform with them.  I am so excited and thankful for the opportunity.  I love to glorify the Lord with my worship guitar.

Funny Comedian Quotes and Stuff

July 29th, 2009 by admin

I like putting funny quotes in my Email sig at work. Most of the time people don’t even pay attention, but every once in a while, a customer or co-worker will comment and think I am way cool. So, I’m always on the lookout for new places to get quotes. I love watching Comedy Central, and am a big fan of comedians Zach Galifiankis (He was the funny one in The Hangover), and Maria Bamford. So when I found this site of comedian quotes, I was totally psyched. Do you have a favorite comedian? If it’s Robin Williams, I must warn you, we might not be able to be friends. Even online friends. I dug some of his movies, but he has so not  been funny for a very, very long time.

I Use My Bloody Valentine 3D Glasses on the Web

June 16th, 2009 by admin

I have gone to several different 3D movies and have been so into some of them that I go online and look them up, seeing deleted scenes and such which are also in 3D.  My favorite recently was My Bloody Valentine.  The My Bloody Valentine 3D Glasses are magenta and green and really cool looking.  I use them at the website as well and even for other things I’ve found on the web because they work to enhance the 3D effects.  If you have a favorite movie that is in 3D don’t throw away the glasses until you have completely gotten the movie out of your system so you can use them on the web.

The Adrenalin Rush of the Smoky Mountain Nature

June 8th, 2009 by admin

I find that I am drawn more to photographing nature in a way that is hard to explain.  When I arrive at a scene or view that intrigues me, my mind starts to visualize what I want the finished image to look like even before I prepare my camera to take a picture.  It’s almost an adrenalin rush that urges me to capture the moment before it vanishes as if it’s going to somehow disappear before my eyes.   This seems to occur just about every time that I go to photograph up in the Smoky Mountain nature.  I only hope that I never reach a point where this rush of creative juices runs dry.

Learn to Salsa Dance with Salsa Videos

June 6th, 2009 by admin

I was invited by a friend to a talent show where she is going to perform a dance routine. I was surprised because I never saw her dance before. I asked her how she learned to dance. She told me she just watched salsa videos. She told me she got interested in salsa dancing when she found out that her grandmother was one of the best salsa dancers in their city. Her mother also encouraged her to follow the footsteps of her late grandmother. And to cut the long story short, she was convinced and begun to learn to salsa dance using the videos.

I have a passion for learning, so I am always trying new things every chance I get.  Lately I have been involved with music and have decided to take it step further by teaching myself how to learn scales for guitar.  I have to say that is a lot harder than I thought and no mater how much I read about it, I can’t get it right.  So, I have decided to hire a professional to teach me the ins and outs of this.  I think everything is going well and I think am professing very quickly.  I even got to play my favorite song and I didn’t mess up one.
