My on-the-job education started me questioning a taught belief that the bowel illness originates in the part of the intestinal tract where the pathology is found. Instead, I came to believe that wherever the site of the illness, it may have its origin in the upper part of the gastrointestinal (GI) tact especially the stomach. Actually, my awakening was brought about through the use of two uncomplicated diagnostic techniques designed by orthodox physicians but, unfortunately, never picked up by orthodoxy- the Indican (Overmeyer) and Heidelberg tests. When I found causes of green poop low HCI production in an irritable bowel syndrome case I gave HCI pills (in the form of betaine –HCI) to replace the missing stomach acid.
