Before trying anything new, it is best to consult a doctor before starting a vitamin regiment for treating heartburn.  The right vitamins in the right doses will prevent any adverse reactions or aggravate heartburn.  Vitamin C taken twice daily between 250mg to 500mg keeps the stomach acidity in check.  Calcium supplements aids in producing enzymes and hormones that stimulate proper digestion and metabolism.  Vitamin B-12 prevents and removes bacterial outbreaks in the stomach.  Vitamin B-1 taken in the morning may alleviate heartburn symptoms.  For chronic cases, a combination of vitamin B-1, B-5 and choline may bring relief.  Vitamins are a good aid for heartburn relief and are safe when taken as indicated.
