George, if someone shows up taking photos of your home improvement tips, call the police (if there are any still employed in your area). It’s still your yard. If someone puts a sign there, take it down … and call the police on the people who put it there.

If your home will sell for more than you owe, then sell it and buy something you can afford … or rent. If your home is worth less than what you owe, walk away and let the bank deal with it. If you live in a reclamation state, you might want to either work with the bank or (if your losses are severe) file bankruptcy .
