I understand the basic principle behind solar lights, but I am having a difficult time grasping how solar Christmas ornaments work. It seems like there wouldn’t be enough light inside in order to light up the ornaments at night. Are they only intended to be used outside? That doesn’t make much sense since I have never seen an outdoor tree that is decorated? Our tree is not in a place that receives a lot of sunlight so I would probably have to take the ornaments off during the day and place them in the windowsill in order for them to collect enough light.
