I was working a dead-end job and finding it very hard to make ends meet. I wanted to go to college, so I would be able to get an education and secure a better paying job. I didn’t have the money for college, so I applied for several grants, scholarships, and loans. I was able to go to college thanks to a scholarship for single mothers. Many of the scholarships were not advertised. They were offered through local churches and organizations. Because they were not advertised, not many people applied for them, which made my chances of getting them even better.
