Often times the best place to learn a new craft is in the company of experts. Knitting is one of the those crafts that for some reason seems to attract a very large number of people who are very anxious and willing to share their time and expertise to teach novices how to knit.

There are usually several knitting clubs in every community where people learning how to knit can go and be welcomed into the club. You can usually hook up with one or more experienced knitters and either have them assist you with knitting instruction at the knitting club meetings or schedule time outside of the club meeting where the two of you can get together for one-on-one knitting instruction.

You will always find a warm, giving atmosphere at any knitting club and you’ll undoubtedly make many new friends in the process.
