When my mother was in her early 70’s I took her for her first of many spa breaks. She had never had anything like that in her entire life. Growing up in Brooklyn didn’t afford her many opportunities to go to the spa. My Mom had her first pedicure that day and was as happy as I’d ever seen her. She thought they would tickle her and that she would kick the person working on her feet. she held it together and managed to get through it, wondering how she had lasted all those years without ever having had a pedicure before. she was sold!
