Cave house in Granada

Just spotted this interesting cave house in Granada, Spain…never seen one of these things before!
“Cave house” sounds like a smelly hole inhabited by someone who’d think mammoth fur and a bone in their nose is the height of sartorial elegance, but they actually look pretty swish!
As the author points out a home set into a hillside is very well insulated, which is perfect for the southern Mediterranean where temperatures soar during the summer months. A cool, dark place to retreat is perfect for the climate, and from what I’ve seen elsewhere this style of home can still be very light and airy inside. Me likey!
