How to find a cheap smallholding
The dream of owning a small holding is all but out of reach for most people. However a cheap smallholding in Bulgaria may be the answer. Properties in Bulgaria usually come with at least half an acre of land, which is more than enough, can you dig half an acre?
What about the animals? Things work in your favour in Bulgaria, you don’t need acres and acres of land to graze cattle on, you just need a shed to keep them in at night. It works like this:
Each village or town has professional Sheppard’s, these Sheppard’s take the sheep, cows or goats from your gate every morning, and return them each night, 7 days a week, 52 weeks per year.
What about the cost of a Shepard? The current price is less than two levs (seventy pence) per MONTH per animal.
You just need a small shed to keep them in and a place to grow vegetables. This can be added to quite cheaply. A smallholding in Bulgaria could cost you as little as £10,000, if you are prepared to work a little.
Cheap does not mean rubbish either, Paul Watchorn, an expert on Bulgaria, is currently researching a book. All contributors are welcome, and will be accredited in the book about Bulgaria. Paul is pleased to answer any questions at all regarding Bulgaria.
