If you are new to this term, Ramen is one of the most popular Japanese noodle dish which originated in China. This dish can be served in a fish or meat based broth which is often flavored with miso or soy. The toppings are an added appetizer; it can range anything from sliced pork, dried seaweed, green onions, kamaboko, or corn. You have to understand that you will not taste same Ramen in every part of Japan as the flavoring varies from one locality to another. For instance, miso ramen that is available in Hokkaidō will be much distinct from tonkotsu ramen of another locality, Kyūshū. There are hundreds of restaurants in Japan that offer many varieties of Ramen.
