When I got to my friend’s house, he told me that he had found the australian gold dealers on the web, and they had been very informative about how the financial system was working, and how most economists believed that we would be going back to a gold standard in a very short amount of time.  That was why he thought that he should buy a lot of gold, so he would be a rich man when the system comes crashing down.  I thought that he had a pretty good idea, but it really scared me quite a bit. I had a lot of investments.
