I had the strange experience the other day of having lunch with somebody who used to know a guy who’s uncle was in the employ of the famous Harry Houdini. Now before you think that Houdini lived too many years ago to have any living relatives now to speak of, let me remind you that one of Houdini’s famous magic tricks revealed to the public was how to effectively travel through time, and share his secrets with those people beyond this particular dimension. Now I haven’t completely gone off my rocker, as the guy I had lunch with explained this to me as if it were accepted fact. When I asked for credentials, however, he couldn’t produce any. Not very impressive for the descendent of one of the most famous magicians of all time.
