How to Improve My Credit Score

March 18th, 2009 by admin

If you’ve been turned down for a credit card or a loan recently you may be asking yourself how to improve my credit score. The good news is there are experts out there that specialize in improving individual’s credit scores. There are also scam artists out there, however. Typically, you do not need to hire an attorney or an agency to help you out with improving your credit. This is definitely an area where a do-it-yourself guide can come in very handy, not to mention the many hundreds and sometimes even thousands of dollars you can save by doing your own credit repair. Oftentimes, all you need to do is make a request to the company that has reportedly derogatory credit items on your credit report to document that item. If they can’t or won’t document the derogatory entry, the credit reporting agencies must remove it from your credit report. Many companies simply don’t want to take the time to document every derogatory entry on the report so they just agree to have it removed.
