Oftentimes, all you need to do is make a request to the company that has reportedly derogatory credit items on your credit report to document that item. If they can’t or won’t document the derogatory entry, the credit reporting agencies must remove it from your credit report. Many companies simply don’t want to take the time to document every derogatory entry on the report so they just agree to have it removed.
