I Plan To Save My Breville 800 Juicer

May 20th, 2010 by admin

I read many reviews about the breville juice fountain elite just before I ordered it and the majority of product reviews mentioned the difficulty of cleaning it, others pointed out the noise. I am unusually receptive to disturbance and I put on hearing protection when using the vacuum cleaner, lawn mower etc. I did not find the noise from the Breville being in any way objectionable. The one trouble I encountered is the dripping from the spout when the juice container is taken away

I had the most trouble with the leafy vegetables even when extracting with solid vegetables (as the manual advises). Much of the leafy things got unprocessed. My wife suggested adding the partially ground-up stuff back in and trying out again. Without a doubt, a lot more juice actually came out.

I found that an individual should process soft, low-fiber vegetables (e.g. tomatoes) before the stringy stuff such as carrots because the high-fiber material tends to fill outside the strainer lowering the performance of the centrifuge. Although the fiber felt fairly dried up, it seemed like a terrible waste to throw away the pricey natural and organic material.

I certainly plan to keep the unit.
