Acer catching up to Apple

March 19th, 2009 by admin

Apple’s PC market share fell by about 1.5% at the hands of the Taiwan based Acer which has been pushing out netbooks like they’re in style which they are. This drop meant that Apple had to give up their third place ranking says iPod Blog. The top two places in the fourth quarter of 2008 were held by Dell followed by HP. While there has been speculation regarding an Apple netbook in the near future, the iPhone is regarded by some analysts to be Apple’s version of a netbook. Expect Acer to become a major player in the computer industry if they continue their current growth trend.
