Packing for a Trip

June 25th, 2009 by admin

A good friend of mine recently decided she would take a trip abroad and boldly declared before leaving that she would spend under three thousand dollars for the entire three month period during which she would be traveling.  Every wear she went my friend was careful to scrimp and save and to cut any financial corner she could.  She found that when it came to food, skipping the fancy tourist spots – especially in Asia – can save you a great deal of money and, for example, a meal from a street side cart or vendor is one things to do in singapore when your stomach starts rumbling.  Of course, careful old fashioned budgeting as well as patient and prudent decision making when it comes time to make a purchase – be it food or otherwise – is the real trick to keeping costs down, let’s just hope my friend knows that too.
