If you can get away, October is a wonderful time for a vacation in Ohio. Many of the festivals in Amish Country take place during this time and you get the benefit of enjoying the fall foliage while you are there. One event that you just can not miss is the apple butter stirrin’ at Al Yoders farm. They still use the old copper kettles to make it and everyone gets to take part in the fun. You will hear back to your rooms in Graystone Cottages with a wealth of new experiences and obviously a horde of new apple butter.
